This is my photo diary from my first two years in Kenya.
Living in Kenya is not only challenging but also very rewarding and I have to say the pros outweigh the cons living in this beautiful country. Where else in the world can you travel 30 minutes and see giraffes and lions, hand feed orphanded elephants, visit giraffes for a pat, just to name a few wondeful things in the capital Nairobi.
I am very gratful to be surrounded by like minded expats, great people I am proud to call my African family and lucky enough to find worthy volunteer activites that let me give back a little to this country that needs a helping hand every now and then. It is rewarding living here and I look forward to many more years in Kenya as I learn to call it my new home.
"We may not be able to help everyone.
But everyone can help someone".
I have spent hours sorting through thousands, literally thousands of photos to create the perfect book, picking the top pictures to collaborate my time on my travels. I am quite proud of the end result and it was truely rewarding going back over the pictures to give me an appreciation of the trip and reliving great memories. I think that everyone should go back over their holiday snaps at one point, to realise just how lucky we are to see and tour this beautiful planet we call home.
